SAAM to close until further notice from Friday 20 March 2020

We very much regret having to announce that the Museum will be closed to visitors from Friday 20 March 2020 due to the escalating COVID-19 situation.

We will be open as usual on Thursday 19 March.

We will re-open as soon as we are advised it is safe to do so, so please monitor this website or our Facebook page here for our current status before your next visit.

We are very sorry to have to inconvenience our visitors. but in the meantime there is lots of information about the Museum and our collection on our website, so please during this period have a browse and stay in touch!!

Sorry!! Our Open Cockpits & Engine Run Day POSTPONED

We are very disappointed to announce the postponement of our Open Cockpits and Engine Run Day on Sunday 19th April 2020 due to the Corona/COVID-19 virus situation.
We will re-schedule and advise a new date when the situation allows.

In the meantime we are welcoming visitors as normal but urge you to take all precautions to protect your health and that of other visitors and our volunteers. The Health SA website here contains much useful information and additionally, we would ask you to be prepared to pay for your entry through card pay-wave to avoid the handling of cash.
